About Lucun & ª

Lucun is the engine behind ª. As a commercial company (bv), we provide marketing, administrative and technical services for everyone taking part in energy sharing through their local energy communities.

We make energy sharing fair, transparent and efficient. Our model is based on solidarity: a 3-cent commission on every shared kWh funds the services that keep the system fair and accessible.

All our services come together under the name of ª:

• Development our algorithm (patent pending)
• Streamlining processes with grid operators and regulators

Communities freely choose Lucun as their delegate partner for administration, operation and communication. This allows participants to focus on what matters: inviting others to join and enjoying the benefits of citizen energy.

Lucun also represents ª in the media, with policymakers and in society. A share of our revenue is reinvested in local initiatives within the communities.

Every participant and every local energy community signs our values charter.

ª is not a supplier or distributor, but the human and digital service partner that makes energy sharing work: decentralised, transparent and collective. Every shared kWh has more value — for the climate, for the community and for your wallet.

Behind Lucun

Lucun was founded in 2024 by three partners with complementary backgrounds. Together, they carry the company’s core values of innovation, collective agility and civic responsibility.

• Tim Siaens – Creative Director. Designer and entrepreneur for 20 years. Turns progress into something useful and desirable.
• Jean-Philippe Desager – Director of Operations, IT & HR. Digital expert with strong collaborative skills.
• Omid Hachem Samii – Director of Marketing & Sales. Specialist in communication and social impact projects, certified in change management.
